Is It Allowed for a Muslim Woman to Put on Perfume when Leaving Home?
Hadeeth + Scholars View

In the name of Allah -Most Merciful Most Gracious-:

A women came by Abu Huraryrah. He said to her: "wher are you going slave of The Titan?" She said: "to the mosque." He said: "did you put on perfume?" She said: "yes." He said: the prophet -peace and blessings be upon him- said: "any women went out of her home with perfume on her (body or clothes) aiming to the mosque God does not accept a prayer from her until she goes back and performs Ghusl (ritual bath)." (Ahmad's Musnad)

Imam Albany commented on this story by saying: "if that was prohibited for a women who wanted to go to mosque, then what would be the ruling for a women who seeks streets and souqs? No doubt it is more prohibited and more sinful!"

Haythamee mentioned in (Zawajer) that if a women goes out of her home with purfume and decoration on, it is considered one of Kaba'er (big sins) even if her husband allowed her to do so.

And these Hadeeths of the prophet are general, which includes everytimes and place.
